Southern Exposure (SoEx) is an artist-centered non-profit organization that is committed to supporting visual artists. An active presence in the Bay Area for 38 years, SoEx is continually evolving in response to the needs of artists and the community while engaging the public in artists’ work.


Real Time and Space

Located in a 4000sf former print shop in Oakland’s Chinatown, Real Time and Space (RTS) is comprised of 15 work-only artist studios, one of which is dedicated to the RTS Residency, accompanied by communal wood shop and printmaking facilities.
