Shelleen Greene is Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Design, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Her research interests include film and media studies, visual cultural studies, race and representation, and postcolonial studies. Her book, Equivocal Subjects: Between Italy and Africa – Constructions of Racial and National Identities in the Italian Cinema (2012) examines the representation of mixed race African Italian subjects in the Italian national cinema.
