Sarah Goodrum's research and writing focus on the history and theory of photography, especially East Germany and the Cold War, and have been supported by Central European History Society, Fulbright Kommission, and American Association of University Women. Her work has appeared in publications such as Afterimage, Zeithistorische Forschungen/Studies in Contemporary History, and International Journal of History, Culture, and Modernity. She received her PhD in art history in 2015 from the University of Southern California and is based in Berlin where she is a writer, a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Europe - BTK Art and Design, and an editor for the Art Market Dictionary book project at De Gruyter Publishers.
