Hi Melanie,

Great, glad you like them. Just for your info I have to leave for England on July 7th (evening) and will be away all month. My husband will be in Pittsburgh though so we can if necessary arrange the pick up with him.

Thank-you,

Lenka

Hi Jessica,

Just wanted to check in with you about filming. I will be leaving for England in the afternoon of the 7th. I presume we are meeting at 9am as planned for the previous shoot – and will be done by 12 or so?

thanks!

Lenka

Hi Lenka,

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, if we start at 9, we should definitely be done by noon.

Hi Lenka,

We have had an opportunity develop with Vogue magazine re: covering the State of the Art exhibition in its August issue. They’d like to interview a few artists for the story, and in talking with our curatorial team, they’re intrigued with your work and would like to schedule a brief phone conversation ASAP. Would you be willing to let me share your contact info with their writer—and if so, what’s the best phone number to reach you? This conversation would not infringe on the confidentiality we’ve asked you to maintain up to this point, since we’re working with Vogue/artists on the story. In general, we’re very close to the point of lifting the confidentiality issue as well (more details to follow).

Thanks for your help, and look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Hi Diane,

I would be very interested in talking with Vogue, thank-you for thinking of me. When you say ASAP would tomorrow morning as early as possible be soon enough? I am available from 6.30am, or when were you thinking?

All the best,

Lenka

Great, thanks Lenka. I’ve passed along your contact info. Not sure as to timing, but I’ll let Kate w Vogue coordinate with you.

For reference, here’s a link to the exhibition on our website, which offers dates, some details, etc:

Hi Melanie,

Just wanted to check in with you as I haven’t yet heard about shipping dates or requirements. I’m sure it’s a fairly crazy task to organize (sorry!) I’m just concerned as I will be away quite a bit in July as I mentioned in my last email and would like to make definite arrangements to get the artwork to you.

We will be away until Saturday 5th July. If the delivery needs to occur before then I can easily arrange for a friend to manage the pick up and would just need to change the address with you (it would still be nearby where the pick up was originally planned). Then, from the afternoon of the 7th July I will be away but my husband will be here all month and can hand over the things. He works Tues – Fri all day but could leave the sculpture in a box in at the front door if your driver would be arriving then.

One of my works is a video (digital file). Shall I burn it as a data file to a disk and add it to the pick-up, or would you prefer a digital transfer?

Thank-you!

Sorry to add to what I imagine is very long and complicated to do list.

All the best,

Lenka

Hi Lenka,

No worries and I do owe you an email. I just wish there was more time in the day. The shipping company is planning on coming the week of July 14. They will contact you the Friday before and will be able to give you a date and time. Will this work? Did you already give me your husband’s contact information?

Go ahead send a dvd and if they want a digital transfer I will let you know. That way we have a hard copy back-up.

Thanks,

Melanie

Hi Melanie,

Great to hear from you. I will be away at that time but my husband Seth will be here. They can contact him. He is a carpenter so sometimes doesn’t hear the phone if his tools are running but if they call a couple of times they should get through to him fine. The shipping company don’t have my husband’s info – I haven’t been in touch with them directly yet. Also – just to clarify – I am just sending a small box of objects. The plinth that the piece will rest on will need to be fabricated. I think this was clear but just want to make sure.

Thanks ever so so much.

I have made arrangements for today to have two extra hours, just for you!

best,

Lenka

Hello Chad,

I hope all is well. I’m just preparing my works for shipping and decided to upload for you now the digital file for the videos. This is the highest resolution they can be (720×480) as they were filmed in mini DV (this is the resolution that you and Don saw them at in Pittsburgh)

I wondered if we might be able to pass it on to the tech people in order to make sure that everything is working smoothly? I will be away from Saturday for a few weeks but will be contactable by email.

Please expect a wetransfer link in the next few hours.

Thanks & all the best,

Lenka

Good to hear from you. I’m happy to pass the file along to Matt and the rest of the team to make sure that it works.

Safe travels and I look forward to being in touch!

Warm regards,

Chad

Hi Lenka,

I’m finalizing the catalog and I am realizing that I am missing documentation and confirmation of credit lines. Attached is the loan agreement and the non-exclusive license for State of the Art. The non-exclusive license allows us to use the image for the exhibition catalog, publicity, educational use, social media, web, and exhibition use. Our catalog deadline is now. Please let me know as soon as possible via email if additional credit needs to be given for the artwork.

Credit for the artwork is: Courtesy of the artist

Credit for the photo is:

(This is the image we will use for the catalog. I have your credit for the other images that we can use for other uses.)

The forms can be sent later but for now I need email confirmation of credit line. I have until Monday morning for any change that you need for the credit line.

Sorry for the short notice.

Thanks,

Melanie
