Kim Beck interviews Emily Newman on her project, “Voyage of the Chelyuskin Club,” a multi-generational conversation with members of Pittsburgh’s Soviet Diaspora.
“Untitled I” is billed as the first collaboration between artists Mark Franchino and Jeremy Boyle, but I’m not sure how much the artists gain from their proximity to each other or even that they have best figured out how to collaborate.
“SIX x ATE” is a free dinner and lecture series promoting local artists, a stronger arts network and a more interdisciplinary conversation in Pittsburgh. For each event, six artists are invited present or perform work and one cuisinier creates a meal based based on the theme for that night.
